WHAT IS PROSTHODONTICS?
We know “prosthodontics” is a mouthful; it’s a big word that describes the dental specialty that pertains to dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, crowns, bridges, and dentures. It is the recognized dental specialty of esthetics, prosthetics, and reconstruction.
We are your tooth and smile architects; we create, design, and implement dental solutions to relieve pain, close gaps, restore teeth, and boost confidence.

HOW IS A PROSTHODONTIST DIFFERENT THAN A GENERAL DENTIST?
Prosthodontists are recognized dental specialists that have three years of additional advanced and intensive training beyond the four years of dental school to perfect the art of restorative, cosmetic, and functional dentistry. This advanced training gives them the knowledge and skills to treat the most complex cases, whether it is refining a single tooth or reconstructing an entire mouth.
Additionally, prosthodontists are skilled at taking the entire mouth into consideration when planning treatment; we are specifically trained to focus on the smallest details in order to extend the lifespan of restorations and reduce early (and expensive!) failure of crowns, veneers, and implants. The goal is always to create harmony between form and function; we focus not only on beautiful smiles, but also how the teeth affect bite, speech, eating, and overall health and wellness.
At NOVA Prosthodontics, we couple our training and experience with the latest technology to shorten your treatment duration, lengthen the time between visits, and maximize your results.
We believe the world is a better place when people smile their true, authentic smiles. That’s exactly why we’re here — and why we look forward to helping you find yours.
